Hackney Town Hall wedding + Reception at Bruno wine Bar, Hackney
What a celebration it was on a hot summer day when Borbala and Benjamin tied the knot at one of my favourite venues in the world AKA the iconic Hackney Town Hall. Some weddings just feel like summer.
Warm air, people spilling out onto the pavement, laughter bouncing off old London buildings — and Borbála and Benjamin’s day had exactly that kind of energy.
She’s Hungarian, he’s Australian, and somehow Hackney became the perfect middle ground for a wedding that felt relaxed, stylish, and completely their own.
A Ceremony at Hackney Town Hall (and that just-married feeling)
They got married at Hackney Town Hall, which is easily one of the most iconic ceremony spots in London. Elegant, light-filled, and just the right amount of grand without feeling overwhelming.
The kind of place where everything feels a little bit cinematic.
The ceremony itself was simple, emotional, and full of those quiet little glances that say everything without words. You know the ones.
And then — just like that — they were married.
Bruno wine Bar, Good wine + good food & Very Happy People
Then it was on to Bruno Bar — tucked right by Victoria Park and honestly such a perfect choice for a wedding reception.
It felt intimate but full of life. Glasses clinking, people catching up, that soft buzz of a room where everyone is exactly where they want to be.
Nothing forced. Nothing overly formal. Just good wine, good food, and very happy people.
Couple Portraits at Vicky Park
And then at sunset time we went for a stroll around Victoria Park Village and the park to take some couple shots with the golden hour
And Then… the Party
As the evening rolled in, things loosened up (as they should).
Shoes came off. Ties disappeared. The dance floor filled.
And the energy shifted into that slightly chaotic, completely joyful phase where no one’s really thinking anymore — just celebrating.
Borbála and Benjamin danced the night away surrounded by their favourite people… and yes, by the end of it, everyone was properly celebrating 😄
Exactly how it should be.

If you’re thinking about getting married at Hackney Town Hall and celebrating around Victoria Park or East London, it really is one of the best combinations.
Everything is close, everything flows, and the whole day can feel relaxed without losing that sense of occasion.
